ARTS EDUCATION FIELD TRIPS
Whether you're interested in an arts rotation of our four main disciplines, or you're looking for a master class with experienced artists, explore arts education field trips at BlackRock!
Below are a few of the most popular arts education field trips at BlackRock! If you have another field trip proposal in mind, please don't hesitate to reach out to our Education Department.
ARTS JOURNEYS
PRE-K - GRADE 12
This arts rotation will immerse students in visual arts, music, theater, and dance. Students will learn new songs and dances, act in skits, and create visual art projects. At the end of the learning experience, students will have the opportunity to showcase their work.
GRADES 3-12
READERS THEATER
Combining reading, acting, and collaboration, students interact with literature from an entirely new perspective. Students learn fundamentals of character development, blocking, and improvisation. Students will also learn various techniques to bring their characters to life, adding depth and authenticity to their performances.
PRODUCTION POP-UP
GRADES 8-12
During this multi-part field trip, students will gain hands-on experience producing a collaborative creative project from conceptualization to final "product". Students will experiment with concepts, materials, and techniques, as well as trying on the roles of artist, researcher, curator, designer, and educator.
WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING ABOUT BLACKROCK FIELD TRIPS:
"It was such a pleasure to work with your team on the reader's theatre workshop. You have clearly collected a fantastic community or actors, writers and educators. The students were so energized by the workshop that they wanted to come back immediately for another. I look forward to collaborating with your team again."
