About the Event
BlackRock presents exhibitions in our galleries throughout the year to provide opportunities for the creative expression of artists and the active engagement of audiences of all ages.
Curated by Safiyah Cheatam and Daniel Flounders, Deconstructed and Reestablished explores new narrative relationships between members of the first two Islam & Print cohorts including seven artists Suldano Abdiruhman, Madyha Leghari, Tayyab Magsood, Anysa Saleh, Mina Sarfaraz, Hoor Imad Sherpao, and Leili Arai Tavallaei plus the artist-curators Safiyah Cheatam and Dan Flounders. I&P celebrates the diversity of mediums its artists wield, allowing for endless multimedia opportunities. In addition to the print editions made during the I&P fellowship, the exhibition flaunts artworks in the artists' original mediums of sculpture, textile, painting, and more.
Refreshments and snacks will be provided.
